Mommy's little troublemaker...

So Carter is now crawling!! We had the first official crawl yesterday and this morning he was all over the living room trying to get into the wall outlets, playing with electrical cords, and getting stuck between the sofa and the wall. Mommy is going to have to keep both eyes on Carter now. This weekend Mommy and Daddy will also have to baby proof the house. We are all moved in now because of all the work Daddy and Grandpa Dale did. They moved all our stuff last Friday...the same day we got 9 inches of snow! We will post some before and after pics of some of the work we have done later. The first video is of Carter trying to crawl and instead sitting up when Grandpa Dale was here and the second movie is of Carter crawling...enjoy!!

Sweet Potatoes...take two!

Soooo...we have tried sweet potatoes again and Carter liked them! I have been adding more and more to his cereal every morning and this morning he had sweet potatoes, a little cereal, and breastmilk, SUCCESS!!!! The only part he didn't like was the big chunks. Carter still has no teeth, so it might be awhile before he can handle big chunks! Enjoy the pics.

Hurry up and wait...

We have been VERY busy trying to get all the loose ends tied up for the house. We should be closing on March 14th...we just feel like we are hurrying up and waiting. Mommy and Carter have been going to all sorts of playgroups. We meet with some other moms every week and we also went to our first Le Leche League meeting. Carter got to interact with other kids and moms. We are also going to start attending a makeshift Attachment Parenting (AP) meeting. AP is a very intuitive way to raise children. Jumperoo time!

Carter LOVES his jumperoo in the mornings! Mommy loves it too because she gets time to eat breakfast and pump. One of Daddy's co-workers gave it to us...what a great toy, THANKS KEN!!! We hope you enjoy the video.

Carter's new barstool

Mommy and Daddy bought Carter a new highchair this last weekend. Our old one was given to us and Carter pretty much hated it. Meredith recommended this chair because Ty seemed to like it so much...and so did we. It doesn't scream baby when it is in the house!!! Carter loves it and is still enjoying his cereal. We are now very close to closing on the house. Inspection went great and now we are just hurrying up and waiting! Hope you all enjoy the pics and the video of Carter eating!

They accepted our offer...YIKES!!!!

We are now in the process of closing on a house!! We found a 5 bedroom, 2 bath, 2194 square foot house in Silver Lake, WI that was in foreclosure. We bantered back and forth with the bank on the cost and hammered out what Justin calls a "smokin' deal!" We are now working frantically to get the inspection done, loan stuff done, insurance info, and of course we still have to pack this house! The house is only about 5-7 minutes from where we live now. We are very grateful to have found something in a nice neighborhood where Carter can hopefully make lots of friends. The house needs some modernizing, but we are very excited about it!
