Various Videos!

Here are some videos that I promised I would put up a long time ago...sorry for the delay. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. One of Justin's friends from college, Chuck, came over from Detroit and spent the holiday with us. We ate WAY too much and watched A LOT of football, but had a great time. We are going to be in Wisconsin for Christmas this year. It will be the first time Justin and I have not been home for Christmas. But we are not crying in our beers...Grandma and Grandpa Johnson are coming in a week and a half and will visit us before Christmas!! Then Jake and Chelsea are going to come down during the holiday from Madison and spend it with us!! Woohoo for great family and friends! So December will be a pretty busy month. Hope you enjoy the videos and hopefully I can upload some more pics in the next couple days! Love to all.

Fall Fun!

One of the things I really enjoy about living in the midwest is seeing all the gorgeous leaves turn color in the fall. There is no comparison at home in Washington to all the colors here. But after the pretty colors are gone and the leaves are on the ground...the fun begins for 2 years olds! Carter learned how much fun leaves can be a couple weekends ago at our friend Andy's house. He played for HOURS in them...then when we left, passed out in the car after 2 minutes. WONDERFUL!!! Enjoy the pics and I will try and get the videos up sometime today...

What are you doing Andy?

Hehehehe...waiting for leaves to hit me!

This is fun!

In I go!

What to do when it rains...go outside and play!

We have definitely had a Pacific Northwest style Summer and now Fall. It has been cooler and rainy...I LOVE it!! I just bundle Carter up and outdoors we go where my little hot boy can play in the cool air. It is has been an easy Summer on Carter because of the cool weather. He is always SO hot. Today was another rainy day and so I decided to take Carter outside and let him play for a little bit. He loves to play with his mower and his big wheel. Carter's friend Rex gave him the big wheel and he has already put quite a few miles on it. Enjoy the pics and videos!

Trying to keep busy

Can we ever get a break?? We found out two weeks ago that we had miscarried again. We went in for our first appointment (I was about 10 weeks) and like last time there was nothing on the ultrasound. I decided I wanted a D&C this time rather than miscarry naturally. That was done Monday morning. By Monday afternoon I was physically feeling great, but emotionally I was ANGRY! I didn't understand why this was happening to us. So I found a wonderful reproductive endochronologist in the Chicago area and I emailed him. He wrote back that night and said I should call the next day for an appointment. We went and met with him and he is wonderful! He is going to help us figure out what is going wrong and how we can have a successful pregnancy. We have to do a TON of tests, but I really feel like in order for us to mourn these losses, we need to understand why they are happening. It has been extremely difficult at times and I still get angry often, but I am optimistic we will get some answers. So translation if I just snap at you, probably the hormones (ask Justin). :)

Because of this, we have been trying to stay busy. Even before we found out we had miscarried we wanted to stay busy. It was very difficult to keep our good news to ourselves! Below are some pics from this week and the previous weeks. Hope you enjoy.

Carter the morning of my D&C. It was 4am and he was smiling...I needed photographic proof!

CHEESE!!

Hehehehehe Mama!!

A couple weeks ago we went rasberry picking at a local farm. It was a lot of fun! At first Justin was not sure he even wanted to go, but he ended up having more fun than he imagined. He honestly probably picked most of the berries. I made 4 big tubs of freezer jam from them, YUM!

The farm.

Over here Dada!

Look at me!

What a ham.

Just a little more...

How about this one?
My friends have been wonderful since the miscarriage. They have brought over dinners and come over so Carter can play and I can relax. Carson and Carter had A LOT of fun.

We are cool dudes!

Here are some leftover pics from Carter's 2nd birthday. He STILL talks about his tractor party...maybe he is hoping I will throw him another one!

The sink Carter got from his playgroup friends...he LOVES it!

His new tractor bedspread from Nana and Papa. This has made it a lot easier to get him into his own bed every night. He yells "tractor bed" whenever we go to sleep.

My attempt at decorations. I was EXHAUSTED from pregnancy and this was about the most I could manage.

The cake I made for him. He still talks about his tractor cake and carries around the tractor candle and the barn candle.

Carter's 2nd Birthday!

Carter's 2nd birthday was August 17th and this year he insisted he wanted a tractor party. I asked him over and over what kind of birthday party he wanted and he always answered "tractor party." So we got as many John Deere themed favors as our pocket book would allow and the rest was just green and yellow (although I am sure the people at the party store thought we were having a Green Bay Packer party). He LOVED it!!! A couple days before the party Nana Mary sent a John Deere themed box which he got to open the day of his party. It had a tractor shirt that he wore during his party and also a John Deere bedspread. (This has made it much more appealing for him to sleep in his own bed!) Then the next day a box arrived from Aunt Misty and Grandma and Grandpa Johnson with more stuff! He got a very cool stuffed dog that looks like Daisy and some very cool Cars stuff. I swear the child now thinks every box that is delivered is for him...usually they are! Hope you all enjoy the pics!

What a cool cake Mama!!

What do I do??

Oh yeah...blow out the candles!

Then I can eat the cake!!

I might need Dada's help though.
