New York Trip!!!

Carter and I had a BLAST on our trip to New York! We got to visit with all our family, including Grandma and Grandpa Hovey. They met us in Detroit and we all flew to Syracuse together. Our trip follows in the pics below...

I like having my own seat Mommy!

Look at all this leg room!

Grandma Morrow, Uncle Tim, and Carter.

Carter at the Watertown cemetary helping us plant flowers at my Mom's family graves.

My Mom's parents; Grandma and Grandpa Michaels.

We planted the flowers in front, the rest is planted by workers there.

My Mom's grandparents. So my Great-Grandparents and Carter's Great-Great-Grandparents...whew.

All the stones together.

My Mom working hard at Aunt Sarah's garage sale...

Left to right: Uncle Pete, Dad, Uncle Tim, Aunt Sarah, Leila, Grandma, and Aunt Nancy.

Leila and Grandma.

Uncle Dave and Carter...they were BEST friends.

Mom listening to everyone visit.

Is that George Clooney?? Wait, it is just Jeremy!! :)

Lindsey with Kaia, and Carter and Calvin.
On Memorial Day weekend we all went and planted flowers at the family cemetaries. It was Grandma Morrow, Dad, 6 0f his 7 brothers and sisters, and all their families that went. We had quite the caravan!!

Where my Dad's Dad and little sister are buried.

My Dad's Dad, Melvin Ellis Hovey.

My Dad's Grandma. So my Great-Grandma and Carter's Great-Great-Grandma.

My Dad's Grandpa.

Everyone watching Dad plant...we really did help some!

Dad's little sister and my namesake. It is very strange seeing your name on a gravestone.
After visiting some of the cemetaries, we stopped by the Hovey family camp and had a wonderful lunch. It was so relaxing to sit and visit with everyone. It is always nice to visit here when we are back in NY.

Dad holding the frog Carter and Uncle Dave caught.

The four Hovey sisters (Aunt Linda, Aunt Mary, Aunt Nancy, and Aunt Sarah) and "Nellie Belle" their old bike from when they were little. Someone found it in the bushes at camp.

Many memories...

Me, Aunt Nancy, and Jana.

Some random pics from camp.

Jana sitting in Carter's little chair. She is probably the only one of us who could get away with that!

The building barely standing at camp.

So many memories...

Grandma Morrow's family...her maiden name was Cahill.

My Great Uncle Bob and Great Aunt Lucy Helen...Grandma Morrow's sister. They were the coolest people and are missed by us all.

I LOVE this pic. It looks like the cemetary it really busy, but is all our family. I just think it is really neat that we all got together and did this.

Dad planting flowers on Uncle Bob and Aunt Lucy Helen's grave...we supervised.

Then Great Aunt Alice and Great Uncle John showed up! (Grandma Morrow's sister and husband.)

Uncle John and Aunt Alice...the last time I had seen them was when they visited us in WA.

Uncle John could not wait to hold Carter! Carter was sleeping in the van and Uncle John waved a mosquito away that was on him and accidently woke him up. :) It was really sweet that Uncle John was so excited to hold him. If Carter only knew how many people adore him!

Katie and her daughter Madden. So Madden would be Carter's 3rd cousin?? Who knows! All I know is that they both LOVE tractors!

Madden giving me one of her many looks!

Mom and her childhood best friend Nancy. We went over for dinner one night and heard stories about when they were young. Hmmm...interesting!

Nancy and her sisters in the front and the husbands in the back.

Carter and his best friend Uncle Dave.

The four Hovey brothers in order of oldest to youngest: Uncle Mike, Uncle Pete, Dad, and Uncle Tim.

I want to thank all my family for the wonderful time we had. I cannot say enough how much fun I had with all of you and how much I miss you. I really hope we can make it out there again soon and maybe Justin can come too!! Hugs and kisses to all, Barbara and Carter.
