A happy Easter weekend to you all! Justin's company gives them Good Friday off so we figured what a great day to go to
Shedd Aquarium in Chicago...WRONG! EVERY school in the area also had Good Friday off and EVERYONE decided it was a good day to go to the aquarium. The line was at least 1.5 hours long and you had to stand OUTSIDE in the cold. We waited for a little bit, but decided we did not want toddler
Popsicles. So we decided the Field Museum of Natural History looked much better, and warmer. Carter's friend Carson and his parents Craig and
Bryanna went with us. It was a lot of fun and actually was probably better since we didn't have to deal with the crowds at the aquarium. After the museum we drove around downtown Chicago a little and then fought traffic home. Jake and Chelsea are coming down from Madison for Easter today and we can't wait for them to get here! I hope you all enjoy the pics and have a wonderful weekend.
Carter and Daddy at Soldier field, where the Chicago Bears play.
This was part of a very cool memorial for soldiers that serve our country.

One of Carter's favorite displays. I think he wanted to bring him home to Jasper!

Sue the dinosaur!

Carter and Carson playing in the sound room in the kid area.

Carter helping with the play corn.

Carter tried to pick corn, but all the older kids kept beating him to it.

Carson as a turtle.

Family keeps bugging me for pics and this is why they get very little...I get his back in 95% of the shots. He REFUSES to hold still GRANDMA MARY!!!

View of Chicago from the aquarium, as we froze outside.

Too many people and too much traffic for us!
