We are loving Spring!!

I know I keep saying this, but we are loving this weather! This winter was not a bad one compared to the previous two, but I think it only seemed longer because I was in the house with a 2 year old. Carter loves playing outside everyday. We have been trying to spend a couple hours out working in the yard and then go back outside when Dada gets home. It has helped so much, especially since Carter isn't napping anymore. He could take a nap, but then he won't go to bed until after 9pm (with a fight) and then is up again at 6:30am. Now that he isn't napping, he goes to bed between 7-8pm and is up usually after 7am. I will take it! At first I thought no napping would be AWFUL. But now it is kind of nice. We can go anywhere at anytime and there is no worry about rushing home to get a nap. We also can stay at friend's houses much longer because a lot of them aren't napping now either. I have to say, it also helps that I have a wonderfully happy child. He does have his cranky moments of course, but overall this has been my favorite age. I do keep hearing that 3 is worse than 2, so we will see! Enjoy the pics!

This last Sunday we got to go to the Cubs vs. Brewers game in Milwaukee. My friend had extra tickets so we went. They have Carson, who is also 2, and 3 month old twins. We had a kid for each lap and it went great! We were 10 rows back from home plate. It was AWESOME! I haven't been to a game since Justin and I went before we were married. Carter also had fun. I think it was cool for him to be able to really see the players up close.

I know I am doing terrible at keeping my resolution to update once a week. I do think about posting every week, almost every day, does that count? Carter is not napping anymore so my day is spent keeping both of us pretty busy. He is not too patient with me on the computer and has resorted to telling me to "get off puter Mama!" I will promise to keep trying and again, hope you all are patient with me! Enjoy the pics and hopefully I can get the videos to work!

It just keeps getting warmer! Here are some pics from one of our first days out. The leaves hadn't come out yet (these are a couple weeks old), but it was warm enough to play outside for a little bit. The leaves are finally starting to appear and I will get some pics this weekend.

My new compost bin (well, old one actually). I took our old garbage can and drilled holes all over it. Now I add our kitchen scraps and fallen leaves to make compost. So far it is working pretty well!

Jake and Chelsea came down from Madison for Easter. They have spent the last couple Easters with us which has been great! The Easter bunny did make an appearance and left a couple small gifts for Carter. After finding eggs, we went to a county park and took a nice walk. After our walk, all of us kids got to play on the playground.

Easter fun!

Easter fun part 2!

We finally got to play outside!

It has FINALLY starting getting nice here! Okay, by nice I mean it was around 40 degrees today. Carter got to play outside...in the driveway, since the backyard is still covered with hard, crunchy snow. He rode all over and also played in the small part of grass in the front yard. Come on Spring!! I am starting to plan my garden, which I hope will be bigger and better than last year. We are also trying to remodel our upstairs bathroom. It had hideous, smelly carpet in it and was a definite eyesore. Justin ripped up the carpet and is now working on tiling. I have some pics below so you can see what we have done so far. We are hoping to get almost done with it by the end of the weekend, but I am sure like all projects, it might take just a little longer. For now, we are running up and down the stairs to go to the bathroom. I definitely count ourselves lucky to have 2 bathrooms! I hope you enjoy all the pics!
